CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK -
DECEMBER
2007!
Join us in celebrating the winter holidays by decorating a
TREE
for the famous
'Christmas in the Park'
display held every year in downtown
San Jose.
Let us all come together to represent the Evergreen Indian
Community as a culturally vibrant part of the San Jose City
population!

The theme for decorating the tree is "Arts
& Crafts from
India".
·
We welcome tree ornaments that represent this theme (for
guidelines/rules, see below) in a batch of 5 or 10 from each
family. We have a limit of 100 ornaments on a first come, first
serve basis.

Please sign up here to confirm your participation. When you sign
up, you can either opt to help us decorate the tree on Nov the
24th or trust us in doing a good job! There is a
maximum limit of two adults (no restriction on kids) per family
and a total of ten adults as helpers.

Guidelines/Rules for tree ornaments:

All ornaments shall be weather proof.
-
All ornaments shall be of the size, shape and color that are
visible from 6 ft distance.

There is no guarantee that the ornaments can be returned,
however, EICA will try to do our best in collecting all the
ornaments back. We will notify you of place/date/time for
pick up, if interested.

As a general guide, we are sticking to the following main
colors- silver/white, gold, orange/bright red,

You may sign your name and your family names on the
ornaments.

Ornaments can be store bought/readymade or hand made by you.

All ornaments should have a mechanism to attach to the tree
branch.

No ornament can be heavy enough to break an average tree
branch!
Theme: Arts & Crafts from
India
The ornaments are crafts from the unique ethnic regions of
India.
Examples are: Ornaments with 'bandhini ( Indian tie & dye)'
prints or other textile arts, pottery designs unique to various
regions of India, Indian bead work, Indian wood toys, Indian
dolls etc.

JHOOM 2007
Never before has
there descended a meteor shower, that lights up the sky like
JHOOM 2007. An evening so magical, that it will transport you
to the magical land of "home",. The flavor for the
entertainment will be provided by our supporting performing
schools like "Jayendra
Kalakendra
School of Bharatnatyam,
Tarangini
School of Kathak,
Avartan
Dance
School,
Indian-Fusion Dance Academy,
and Nritta Katha School of Kathak Dance." We are very
PROUD to showcase our very own Evergreen Indian Community, that
will be having dance performances, as well as a riveting Fashion
Show, that will be a feast to your sense and sensibilities.
